The Junior Media Analyst position is an opportunity to learn about analytics and begin contributing to client reporting, analysis, and campaign optimization. This role will work on one or more clients with projects like setting up conversion tracking tags, working on dashboards, and creating reports for clients. 

This is a hybrid role, with both office-based work at the H/L Oakland office and remote work.

What you’ll do:

  • Learn marketing channels, how to optimize campaigns, and how to build client reports & dashboards
  • Work with more senior analytics team members to analyze media performance data, synthesize results, and report to clients
  • Prep data for analysis & compile client reports
  • Update Tableau dashboards & QA data for accuracy
  • Present findings in a synthesized manner with highly organized data to support findings
  • Assist in tagging and other analytics/operations processes
  • Partner with other agency teams for data & analytics support

 Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • One to two years of experience in Tableau, Excel, or other similar data visualization tools
  • One to two years of media or agency experience across a variety of channels, or an interest in marketing. Self-taught marketing & personal experience is acceptable, too!
  • Passion for data and finding unique truths hidden in the sea of numbers
  • Strong multitasker who can prioritize and manage several projects concurrently
  • Interest in learning new technologies, like AI
  • Basic knowledge of databases and basic programming, or willingness to learn
  • Desired skills include humility, observation skills, & willingness to ask questions

  • You are able to think creatively in order to envision relationships between data
  • You bring a strong desire to learn measurement, KPIs, and the relationship of data to marketing

For SF Bay Area / CA based: H/L offers a projected compensation range for a position as an estimate of what the company believes is a reasonable pay scale. The salary range for this position is expected to be between $69,000 and $75,000 per year. The actual offer to a successful candidate will depend on various factors, including the job’s scope and responsibilities, the candidate’s qualifications, budget availability, internal pay equity, geographic location, and external market pay rates for similar positions. These factors will determine the final compensation, which may vary within the stated range.
