H/L is looking for a Senior Producer. In this integral position, you will collaborate with internal and external teams to deliver smooth, high-quality campaigns. Your expertise in creative production will guide each project’s success, from preproduction to on-set management and postproduction coordination. You will oversee timelines, coordinate resources, and ensure everything runs smoothly, playing a vital part in creating advertising campaigns that engage and inspire audiences.

This is a hybrid role, with both office-based work at the H/L Oakland office and remote work.

What you’ll do:

  • Produce TV, radio, and online content, both general market and multicultural, under the direction of the Executive Producer,
  • Collaborate with Creatives and other members of the Production team in initial meetings and brainstorming sessions, bringing a creative Producer’s point of view
  • Work with the Agency’s Creative team to secure internal and client approvals throughout the production process
  • Create production and postproduction estimates and schedules for a range of projects
  • Track budgets and actualize costs for those projects with the Finance and Account teams
  • Contact talent agents, send casting specs and scripts for on-camera and voiceover talent, and manage auditions with the Creative team
  • Coordinate with recording studios to hold and book studio time
  • Conduct music searches for radio, Internet, and TV projects as assigned
  • Generate talent contracts and submit them to the Business Affairs Manager along with a talent completion report
  • Work with project managers and in-house editors to help facilitate broadcast and digital projects
  • Generate purchase orders and submit vendor invoices in a timely manner
  • Troubleshoot production problems when needed

About you:

  • You have a bachelor’s degree
  • You have a minimum of 7 years of experience with the broadcast production process in TV and radio
  • You have a minimum of 3 years of experience in an advertising agency
  • You have in-depth knowledge of all aspects of production
  • You have a drive to think creatively beyond the parameters of any given project
  • You have exceptional organizational skills
  • You have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with Creative and Account teams, project managers, and outside vendors
  • You must be good at motivating people while working as part of a team
  • You have demonstrated abilities to multitask, manage multiple projects concurrently, and meet deadlines
  • You have proven abilities to quickly learn and effectively use software programs to enhance operational efficiency
  • You are adaptable, flexible, and able to act decisively, all while maintaining a positive, upbeat, and composed attitude in all situations
  • You must be self-motivated, proactive problem-solver, and able to anticipate needs before they arise

For SF Bay Area / CA based: H/L offers a projected salary range for a position as an estimate of what the company believes is a reasonable pay scale. The salary range for this position is expected to be between $100,000 and $140,000 per year. The actual salary offered to a successful candidate will depend on various factors, including the job’s scope and responsibilities, the candidate’s qualifications, budget availability, internal pay equity, geographic location, and external market pay rates for similar positions. These factors will determine the final compensation, which may vary within the stated range.
