H/L is looking for an experienced Junior Integrated Project Manager for our Oakland office, located at Jack London Square. This is a hybrid work opportunity.

Integrated Project Managers at H/L are at the heart of the agency. They are in the middle of it all. Everything. The Junior Integrated Project Manager (Jr. IPM) will work in partnership with the Integrated Project Managers (IPMs) and Senior Integrated Project Managers (Sr. IPMs) to support the movement of broadcast, digital, print, and social creative throughout the entire agency workflow. The deadlines are fierce. But you’ve got this, because you’re crazy about the details in the way you keep it all moving forward. You assure that the project deliverables are in line with the creative brief and business objectives, and that timekeeping and project budgets are current and accurate.

This position requires a positive, “I got this” attitude, paired with strategic thinking and awesome organizational skills. The Jr. IPM will ensure day-to-day needs of the PM team are met and that assigned work is completed to the highest standard.

What you’ll do:

  • Complete project setup activities:
    • Set up folders/job jackets
    • Communicate schedule and key project milestones
    • Assist with project estimate entry and distribution for internal approvals
    • Input project information into all PM documents (status sheet, project summaries, etc.)
  • Provide oversight and management of projects:
    • Serve as a point of contact internally, communicating expectations to team members and managing the work in an agile method from inception through delivery of final creative
    • Help schedule and oversee cadence for kick-off, status, and day-to-day meetings; ensure timely completion of all milestone phases
    • Help ensure smooth hand off and transitions from each department
    • Assist with routing work for internal approval prior to deployment
    • Keep key project documents and systems updated as project tasks change and are completed
    • Assist with the trafficking and deployment of final ad materials to media and production partners
  • Assist with monitoring project financials—planning, tracking, and approving project expenses, billing, and invoices

About you:

  • Professional Competencies:
    • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or other closely related area
    • 2-3 years of experience in an advertising or marketing agency setting
    • Experience managing multiple tasks and projects concurrently
    • Ideally, a basic familiarity with Asana and Slack

For SF Bay Area / CA based: H/L offers projected salary range for a position as an estimate of what the company believes is a reasonable pay scale. The actual salary offered to a successful candidate will depend on various factors, including the job’s scope and responsibilities, the candidate’s qualifications, budget availability within the department, internal pay equity, geographic location, and external market pay rates for similar positions. The salary range for this position is expected to be between $66,000 – $75,000 per year.
